Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word.
- The submission contains a list of references. When available, the URLs (preferably DOIs) to access references online are provided, including those for open access versions of the reference.
- All illustrations, figures and tables are enclosed in jpg format.
- All authors have significantly contributed to the research and have given permission to be listed on the submitted paper.
- Information on financial support of the research is provided by authors
- The Author warrants and represents that the Work does not infringe upon any copyright, proprietary, or personal right of any third party. If the Work contains any material that is owned or controlled by a third party, the Author certifies that he/she has obtained permission for its use and that the material is clearly acknowledged within the text.
This warrant concerns the entire manuscript, text as well as pictures, sound, video, data sets etc. The author also warrants to us that he/she has full authority to enter into this agreement and that the rights he/she is granting to the journal are done so without breaching any obligations he/she may have.

Authors who publish in this journal agree to the following terms:
- Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), which allows anyone to freely share and adapt the published content, provided that authorship and initial publication in Relief are acknowledged.
- Authors guarantee that their contribution is original, that it has not been previously published, and that it is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal. They certify that they have obtained all necessary permissions for the use of any copyrighted materials – texts, images, tables, data – included in their article, and undertake to provide evidence of such permissions upon request from the editorial board.
- When an article contains data obtained through interviews, surveys, or any other form of data collection involving persons, authors are responsible for having obtained the required informed consent, in accordance with applicable legislation and prevailing disciplinary standards.
- Authors may enter into separate additional agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the work (for example, depositing it in an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), provided that its initial publication in this journal is acknowledged.
- Authors are permitted and encouraged to share their articles online (for example, in institutional repositories or on their personal websites) before and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchanges as well as earlier and more extensive citation of published work.
