The ways in which panels are arranged within the page of the comic book is an important aspect of the poetics specific to the medium of comics. Certain situations in which an author is called upon to rework a first version of his or her page can thus constitute an unusual observatory for better assessing the nature and impact of these “figures of cohabitation” between panels. Further refinement of this approach could lead to wider-ranging studies.
