Abstract

Louis Bouilhet was probably the most faithful of Flaubert’s friends but what remains of his literary, poetic and dramatic works ? Nothing is more interesting than to read his biographers - since Flaubert just a few literary historians, Angot and Frère - to understand how soon a writer is placed in the category of minor authors.

Author Biography

  • Thierry Poyet
    Poyet est maître de conférences habilité, spécialiste de la littérature française du XIXe siècle à l’Université Blaise Pascal. Membre du Centre de recherches sur les Littératures et la Sociopoétique (CELIS), il a publié plus de quarante articles et une douzaine d’ouvrages consacrés à l’œuvre et à la correspondance de Flaubert dont il est l’un des spécialistes, ainsi qu’à Hugo, Maupassant ou Maxime Du Camp dont Maxime Du Camp, l’autre romancier, aux éditions Kimé, en 2013. En 2016, il publie aux éditions Belles Lettres Minard-Garnier, La gens Flaubert et réédite, chez Garnier, Théophile Gautier de Maxime Du Camp. Il fera paraître en 2017 un volume collectif consacré à cet écrivain, toujours chez Minard-Garnier dans une nouvelle série thématique, « Minores 19/20 », dont il assure la direction.
