This article starts with an overview of children’s publications devoted to the masters of the art of photography and analyses the way in which this type of heritage is presented. It then looks at four books specifically dedicated to Robert Doisneau: Le Prévert de Jacques Prévert, Robert Doisneau et Natali (Mango jeunesse, 2017), Bucéphale by Thomas Fersen and Robert Doisneau (Le Rouergue, 1998), Tic ! Tac ! by Hélène Kérilis and Laurent Simon (L'Élan vert, 2017) and Robert Doisneau by Clémence Simon and Juliette Boutant (Milan, 2024). It shows how the medium of the book, and more specifically the photoliterary space created by the double page, can contribute to the transmission of photographic heritage.
