Abstract

Literary critic, writer, essayist, photographer, Martin de Haan is also and before anything else, an ambassador for literary translation. Throughout his career he has kept underlining the essential role of the translator who, who is too often overlooked. He has translated into Dutch around forty works of French literature.

  • Marc Smeets, Radboud University

    Marc Smeets is Assistant Professor of French literature at Radboud University. He published a thesis titled Huysmans l’inchangé. Histoire d’une conversion (2003) and two edited volumes on the same author in the CRIN series. He has published widely on fin-de-siècle literature. 

  • Mingus Niesten, Radboud University

    Mingus Niesten is a student of French language and culture at Radboud University.
