Author Biography

Manet van Montfrans, Université d'Amsterdam

Manet van Montfrans was a professor in European and French literature at the University of Amsterdam from 1986 to 2009. A specialist in the work of Georges Perec, she published a monograph in Dutch in 2019, Georges Perec, een gebruiksaanwijzing (De Arbeiderspers). The author of works on Proust, Modiano, Mauvignier and Marie Darrieussecq, she has also written several essays on stories of filiation (Pierre Bergounioux, François Bon, Pierre Michon, Jean Rouaud). She is currently a member of the editorial team of the review Marcel Proust Aujourd'hui (Brill) and of the literary and cultural review De Nederlandse Boekengids.
