This article aims to examine the trajectory of the fable La Cigale et la Fourmi from the dual perspective of text and image. Our journey begins with Gilles Corrozet's fable collection (1542), moving on to several illustrated versions of Dutch origin, and ending with La Fontaine's version. As an epilogue, we continue our research into La Fontaine's legacy.
